Chapter 1

I knew it wasn't yet dawn when I awoke, but my accuate senses let me know what time it was even if I didn't have a clock. The sun was still sitting behind the mountains, waiting for the time signal to let it shine through. I stood up and stretched, hearing my bones pop as I cracked knuckles. I slowly made my way towards the window and smiled at the woods surrounding the house. The forest was my second favorite thing in the world, my first was the boy sitting in the tree, waiting for me.
I pressed my hand against the glass and the boy gave me a personal smile. I rushed through my morning routine, brushing my hair, and teeth, scarfing down breakfast as fast as I could. And once I was done saying goodbye to my mom, I went back upstairs to my window, opened it up, perched on the sill, and jumped.
Flying through the air felt wonderful, only I wasn't technically flying, this was more like soaring. I could jump so far that I loved to take advantage of it.
And then I was caught by a pair of strong arms that wrapped around me protectively.
I heard a faint sigh and looked up. "What if you fall someday, and I won't be able to catch you?" Reyes asked, looking down into my eyes.
I laughed softly and cuddled against him. "You'll always be there to catch me." With that, Reyes cupped my cheeks in his hands and kissed me with passion.
My name is Kirmana Drakeson, and I am Loup Garou. You may not know what that is, so I will explain...
Loup Garou is a werewolf, well, a certain type of werewolf that is. Loup Garou have more "special abbilities" than the normal everyday werewolf. Like jumping, for instance, and some of us also have paranormal abbilities such as mind reading, magick, and wings. But I don't have any of those, not that I know of anyways.
My kind live peacefully amongs human kind, because we live by simple rules that able us to survive. So basically, if nobody knows about us, we have a better chance of living full lives. The only rules we have are never tell a mortal, and never turn a mortal. All very simple, really, but sometimes those rules are broken and consequences are needed.
But I have no problem following them. There are only a few of my kind where I live, and we all stick together as one pack. We have more power in numbers, as you've probably heard before. But anyways, back to the story.
I moaned when Reyes pulled away, grabbing his jacket by the lapels and pulling him back to me.
"I don't want to go to school today," I groaned, kissing his neck.
Reyes chuckled "You never want to go to school." He replied, nuzzling me.
I sighed and said "well, I suppose I'm going to have to."
I stood up on my branch and watched Reyes jump from the trees and land neatly on two legs.
When I didn't follow immediately, Reyes crossed his arms over his chest and tapped his foot.
"Well," he called. "Are you coming?"
I laughed and jumped, transforming as I did so. I concentrated on the beauty of transformation instead of the small, sharp pains that always accompany it. And when I landed on the forest floor, I landed on paws.
I immediately began running, and then I heard Reyes running behind me, on paws too.
